Bio: My name is Naati and I am a first-generation medical student and the daughter of two Ethiopian immigrants. I grew up in New Jersey and received my B.A. in Neuroscience from the University of Pennsylvania in 2021. My family moved from New Jersey to Washington in 2019, so I have been happy to call Seattle home for the past several years. Here at the University of Washington School of Medicine, I have enjoyed volunteering with the Asylum Evaluation Student Clinic, the Student National Medical Association (SNMA), and the Alliance for Equal Representation in Medicine. I am passionate about immigrant and refugee health as well as community-centered approaches to care. I hope to work with historically underserved populations in my future career as a physician!
